Our Ingredients

At 'Soap Melodies', work begins with research & development of the ingredients before each batch. Fully conceptualizing and testing each ingredient beforehand helps us to craft the best soaps for you. We disclose all our ingredients on our soap label (no hidden ingredients) so that you are completely aware of what you put on your skin. Here is a list of ingredients used in our products.

OILS & BUTTERS - Coconut, Rice Bran, Canola, Olive, Sunflower, Castor, Safflower, Sweet Almond, Cocoa & Shea Butter.

LYE - Lab grade Sodium Hydroxide. Note that none of it remains in the soap since it completely reacts with oils to produce soap.

HERBS & DRIED FLOWERS - Turmeric, Powders of Hibiscus, Neem, Rose, Chamomile, Manjistha, Lavender, Corn Flowers, Jasmines, Marigold Petals, etc.

VEGGIE & FRUIT PUREES - Mango, Papaya, Carrot, Beetroot, Cucumber, etc.

NATURAL COLORANTS - Red sandalwood extract, Himalayan Rhubarb, Indian Barberry, Spinach, Indigo, Annatto Seeds, Alkanet Root, etc.

CLAYS - French Red Clay, Activated Charcoal, Bentonite Clay, Kaolin Clay, Pink Clay, etc.

MILKS - Coconut, Rice, Oat, Buffalo Milk, Yogurt.

OTHER- Ground Almond, Oats, Mung Bean, Chick Pea & Rice Flour, etc.

SODIUM LACTATE - sodium salt of lactic acid, produced by fermentation of a sugar source, such as corn or beets is added to our soaps to harden the bars. It is a humectant and a moisturizer.

NOTE - We use nature derived Oxide Pigments, Micas to achieve bright colors in some of our soaps.

Essential Oils

Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants (flowers, berries, leaves, barks, resins, seeds, woods) that capture the ‘essence’ of the plant’s fragrance.

These oils have been scientifically proven to relax or uplift your mood.

For example, Jasmine & Rose essential oils have been known to reduce anxiety and calm your senses. Citrus essential oils (lemongrass and orange) can uplift your mood.
